The Himalayas are the tallest mountains in the world. Their majestic size also creates unique problems. Infrastructure is almost non-existent, as materials have to be walked or carried in for days or weeks. Schools and medical posts are scarce. The weather conditions and soil make growing crops extremely difficult, so most people survive on potatoes. Half the children in the Himalayas die before the age of 8 years old.
The physical barrier of the mountains and the spiritual barrier of Tibetan Buddhism have created an area almost completely unreached by the Gospel. Most of the people have never heard the name of Jesus.
Our documentary will attempt to explain these issues along with the strategic importance of spreading the Gospel to the Himalayas.
